Ram details

I am looking to buy a stick of 512MB pc2700 ddr ram. What details should I look for? What brand as well?

You can't go wrong with KingMAX, Samsung, or Crucial. Both KingMAX and Crucial package their own RAM (both chips and PCB are packaged by the company), but careful when you buy Samsung. Samsung original RAM generally costs more than other OEM packagers USING Samsung chips. I have OEM Samsung RAM and it works just as well as my other Samsung original stick, but some OEMs can use poor quality PCB and it really draws back the potential of the Samsung chips.
