Hi I have an Epox 8rda+ mobo with 1700+ tbred b week 12 chip.... I o/c'ed it to 166x12 and it starts crashing in windows. Now I know htis means it's not stable, but I don't want to take it down a notch so I was wondering if increasing vcore would stop the crashes.

Yep, your on the right track... First increase your Vcore and your Vdimm for the memory (2.7v)

That should solve your problems... Then push for more!

:D

How are your temps?

What size PSU?

Channel Well 420W powersupply and my temps are like 35degrees C and how much should I increase the vcore and vdimm? And when I used sisandra maxpro3 it runs the first two cpu tests fine 10 times in a row, but it reboots when I run the two memory tests so I think it might be my memory...

run memtest and prime. Up vcore to say 1.7 and try if nothing up vcore a little more or up vdimm to 2.7

I am running memtest86 now it's on it's 4th run test 4.. I have 9158 errors and I THINK they are all from test 5. I'm not totally sure on how to read this thing, but in the main screen I see tst and under it 5 pass under it 3 and then failed blah blah and so on. Now can someone tell me what this means and how I can try to fix my comp?

Update: I put the settings back to default for a 1700+ chip and I get no errors in memtest and with 133fsb and 12 multiplier i get 0 errors... I'm going to up the fsb by 5 and see when i start to get errors now..

if you get any errors then it could be bad. What brand is your memory? If it's no name then there's your problem. Giving it more juice may help it though.
