Simple question, would it help at all to put on some small thermaltake copper heatsinks (the individual kind) on my RAM chips...... or is it not needed?
(i will be overclocking)

well ill have my XP-90C set up so that the fan will be positioned right over the RAM (or at least near it)

so would heatsinks be pointless and of no use?

RAM heatsinks are basically pointless (although they do make your RAM look cool), unless you are running them at really high volts (like 3.3V). Especially if you already have a heatspreader on your RAM.

just as a side note, i found it interesting the temps my ocz rev2 were hitting in memtest. unscientific but with a temp probe on the outside of the module and 2.85v, 1 pass of memtest at 250 (i think it was) was ~52c.

no real point to make, lol, i just thought it seemed high as i usually run these at 270-275mhz.
