I hear there are issues with SDRAM working on Athlon motherboards. Is this true? How can I tell if my existing RAM (768megs) will work?

What brand ? know any chip marking on it ? I check your rig, it says micron pc133.. should be no problem.. unless it's something else..
 
Hi,

Technically, it's not "my" RAM... I'm trying to sort somebody else out. They're a big photoshop user, and have a PIII-500 with 768megs PC133. The chips themselves are Micron, but I don't know who makes the sticks.

He wants to upgrade his processor, and we are looking at possibly going with a 1.2Ghz T-bird. The other option, is a dual PIII, but that gets quite pricey...
