ram compatability question

My friend has a computer Dell Dimension. He currently has 256mb and wants to get another 256 stick. Its a relatively new computer, purchased in the past 2 or 3 months. On the stick that's in his computer it says:

"Samsung 256mg Pc2 3200u - 333"

Do i need to be looking at DDR or DDR2 ram for this? What brand will go with this? Does it matter what kind of timings or will any stick work?
