RAM benchmarks

Is there a place I can go to check out the differences in system performance for various amounts of RAM? Like 128, 256, 512, 768, 1024.

I assume you're talking about the rig with the KR7A board. Spend some time at the Abit Motherboard forum at amdmb.com for user-posts about memory problems/successes with the the KR7A.

Also check Paul's KR7A FAQ at viahardware.com.

My KR7A is fine with one stick of 256 stick of Corsair XMS2400 at mem slot 1. All dram timings maxed except 2T Command Rate. Some report incompatability with Corsair DDRAM on KR7A (Paul's Faq cautions about possible problems with Corsair ram @ KR7A).

I suggest you focus on memory compatability posts for your particular board - results are all over the map for multiple sticks of DDRAM with the KR7A.
