RAM/ASUS P3V4X

I just attempted to put 3 pieces of the mushkin REV 3 PC 133 RAM into my motherboard (128 MB each). Would begin starting up fine until Windows 98SE began loading. Then I would receive an error about an invalid configuration and to rerun the windows setup. Works fine with only 2 piece of RAM. Any ideas? Thanks.

Maybe the 3rd stick isn`t feeling to well, did you try using the 3rd stick by it self just to see if it`s the memory?

I also read somewhere that motherboard will become unstable if all the memory slots are used up, but if I recall currectly the P3V4X has 4 dimm slots.

You nailed it. Through trial and error, finally figured out that the stick in the 3rd DIMM slot wasn't working. Tried it in the others with the same results. Now to see how fast Mushkine can send a replacement};o)
