Someone I know is having me upgrade to more ram in there system. Its a P2 450MHZ with a Asus P2B mobo. It has three ram slots and two of them are already occupied. They are each 64 mb and they are pc100. My question is if I get a pc133 256mb chip will I run into any problems with mixing pc100 with pc133? will I have any problems with having 384MB of ram on this board?

Also it looks like they have one of those "stackable" old voodoo cards in it. The ones that you can take the video out of the main vga put it into the voodoo card and it will accelorate it. I just did a fresh install of xp. What drivers am I going to need for this badboy?

PC133 is backward compatible with PC100... BX boards can't recognize high density sticks so they end up seeing 128MB of 256MB... so you watch out for that.

As for the voodoo... i have no idea. :)

i think voodoofiles.com might have your drivers. are they really selling them for $0.00? I just might get a few to stack in my old rig.

So it will most likely see the chip as 128mb? I got the voodoo thing covered I found this guide. Should I just try to but 2 128mb chips then?
What do you mean by "BX"?

I doubt it.

Actually I meant that as an example... if you buy a high density 128mb stick... it will only see 64MB.
