A friend of mine just bought a k6-2 550. He Has an older motherboard with 66mhz sdram. When he tried to run the FSB at 83x it crashed. He then ran it at 75x and it ran okay 416. Could the ram be a problem running at 66mhz or some other conflict.
If you need more info let me know.

Its possible it could be the ram but not very likely as most pc66 ram is really capable of going much higher than the 66MHz fsb its rated at. Usually closer to 100fsb. Its likely some other conflict. Its probably the video card crapping out from running at to high a bus. I don't know the whole system config so couldn't say for sure.

Then again, if you are keeping the multiplier constant, it could be that the K6-2 simply can't handle being overclocked that high.
