I have a 1 Ghz AMD Thunderbird with a 266 FSB but my RAM is PC1600 (200Mhz). It's had one big problem to date. If I shut it down and try to turn it back on it starts, but it doesn't beep or boot, the screen stays in power saving mode (so no video signal is being sent), and the floppy never does a boot read. The only way I can bypass this is if I remove the CMOS battery and wait for a rather long time for the BIOS to clear completely. Using the clear bios jumper does not work. Could this be a problem that has something to do with the difference in FSB and RAM speeds (although I know the RAM runs at a virtual speed of 200)?😕
