RAM Advice

Ok so my current setup is:

i5-2500k, 2x2GB Ripjaws X, GTX 560ti Hawk.

I'm going to upgrade my GPU and RAM, but as far as RAM goes should I get 2x4GB sticks and use them with the ones I have? They dont make the same exact pair that I have anymore (7-8-7-24) so I would just clock them to 9-9-9.

Should I get 2x4GB and use them with the 2x2GB I have or just get 2x8GB? (or maybe just get 2x4GB and ditch the old stuff?)

Thanks

(tried playing BF4 yesterday and it was horribly stuttery even on "low" 🙁 )

Buy This Kit and be done with it. A year is long enough to wait.

Why that kit?
If I were shopping for high quality memory, I would use the following parameters as a guide...

* DDR3 rated at 1.5v or lower
* DDR3 rated at the lowest CAS I could afford
* DDR3 rated at the highest clock speed I could afford
* Limit the scope of my purchease to G.Skill, Mushkin, Samsung, Corsair XMS or Crucial (non-Ballistix)

While not wavering on the voltage point, I would balance the other issues with my budget.

Remember, my goal is not pure "benchmarking" performance, but simply finding the highest quality memory I can afford. ^_^
The only reason I pay a premium for low latency, high speed, low voltage memory is...
Quality and quality alone.
1.5v is the JEDEC DDR3 voltage standard.
Stay with 1.5v or less if you can afford it..

Mushkin a good brand I take it? (1.35Voltage) (using this board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131682)

G.Skill has the same timing, latency but cheaper. (10% off makes it about $67)

Same with another "brand" of Mushkin ($79)

Also: 1600 vs 1866? Not that big of a deal?

No, you don't need 850 watts unless you crossfire or SLI.

I think I'll RMA my old PSU and "express" send another one to me for 50$ or whatever they charge.

Ill just use whatever replacement they send me...even though it wont be Modular -.-

Edit: I was mainly thinking about getting the 850 since it's the same price as a 750

(not going to RMA it since it costs a buttload to ship)
