RAM Advice

Hello I am about to buy some new RAM and I'm getting really confused on whether it will work on my computer or not.

I am using an ASUS M2NPV-MX motherboard and my current ram is 2.00GB DDR2 533MHz Kingston RAM.

I found a good deal on OCZ PC2-6400 Dual Channel DDR2 800MHz 2GB RAM PC Memory Kit 4-4-4-15
How can I tell if this will work for my computer?

Also is it a very significant upgrade, IE is it worth it?
I play games like World of Warcraft, Counter-strike and COD4.

Thanks for your time.

IMO, upgrading probably won't help much if at all. If you're planning on overclocking then I would say get the RAM.

I would not mix the DDR2 533 and DDR2 800.

And it does seem like a waste if you just want to replace the Kingston with OCZ.

If it works at all - Kingston probably works with 1.8V, OCZ might require 2.1V, so check the voltage requirements and capabilities of your motherboard as well.

Good luck!

What're the specs on the rest of your system? If gaming is slow, I suspect you'll see more benefit out of a video card upgrade. (Possibly CPU, depending on what processor you're using.)

2GB is enough for any game out there, and I doubt that's your problem.

Edit: By the way, if you're planning on replacing your current RAM with the new RAM, you'll see little to no actual benefit.
