I am going to upgrade the RAM in my Shuttle ST20g5.
Currently residing in it is one 512MB stick and one 256MB one. The Shuttle has two memory holes.
The alternatives are A. A matched pair of 512MB sticks. +Dual channel
and B. A 1GB stick- +1.5GB RAM total, instead of 1.
As people will likely respond (justified it is, too) that what my Shuttle needs depends on what I aim to subject it too - which will most likely include Oblivion - we can keep that the target.
1.5GB RAM - non dual channel, or 1GB dual channel? Does the AMD64 platform show a performance gain for dual channel configurations, generally?
