Ram (2x1gb): G Skill Extreme DDR 500 for $158 or G Skill DDR 400 for $146

I'm having MASSIVE problems with my DFI Ultra-D and my Corsair VS ram. Apparently, I'm not alone. The only memory divider I can use is the DDR 200 divider which is way to slow when I'm at 311fsb.

My CPU is an Opteron 144, and I'll be "re-upgrading" to an X2 in about a year, and I want that rig to last another year or so.

Looks like the Extreme DDR 500 runs at cas 3 instead of cas 2.5 like the DDR 400. If I ran the extremem @ DDR 400 speeds, do you think it could hit cas 2 or cas 2.5?

Yes I got the G. SKILL Value and it's amazing itself but the Extreme is probably alot better. I would get it.
