Outstanding! People ask me why John McCain chose an actual conservative like Sarah Palin for his running mate. I tell them it's because the Republican party is finally becoming aware that it is not conservative and needs the support of conservative people across the nation.
While Barack Obama had free access to his rally Ron Pauls Rally cost $30 through ticket master and they still managed to sell out. Not bad for a man no longer running for president. If you want to see what a real rally looks like I assure you the Passion of Paul supporters will not disappoint.

That's crazy, nobody wants to see him talk. He must have bought all the tickets himself.

Interesting. The RNC is falling through the cracks, and Ron Paul's rival convention is sold out.

Justice is served.

I don't have time to watch any of it.

I am too busy finding out whose baby is whose. Who was drunk or not. Who was a draft dodger. Who is old. Who isn't wearing an American flag on their suit coat. Trying to decide if the protest at the RNC was better or worse than the protest at the DNC. What Bush had to say about birth control. You know, the important issues.

This is priceless. :D

There will probably be more protestors at the RNC than actual attendees now, that is if they don't cancel it.

I'll be watching it all day. Heard the news that it was on CSPAN2 today and planned my day accordingly. My lucky cousin has already flown out for it. Anyways, I had heard that there were threats of bioterrorism at the convention. True or not, to me its just a scare tactic to keep people from going.

I'll be tuning in as much as possible. Have a couple appointments today. Definitely want to see the beginning, Jesse Ventura, Grover Norquest, "special guest" and of course Ron Paul. This is going to be just outrageous!
3000 Paul supporters will bring down a roof. What will 10,000+ do?

That's a fact. An estimated 10,000 protesters according to the networks yesterday. Just more evidence of the enthusiasm gap when that many people show up to protest a crippled convention.

This is pretty much a make or break issue these days. What kind of patriot can you possibly be without wearing an American flag pin?

I watched some of the Republican Convention yesterday on C-SPAN.. When they took callers, there were a lot of Ron Paul supporters who said they will either not support McCain or have a hard time supporting him..

I suspect Police in riot gear, tear gas, rubber bullets, beatings, arrests and all sorts of liberty being subverted. Trusting the establishment at this point is futile. Some would have you believe its the protesters causing the problems, but I don't buy it. If our government is willing to infiltrate small groups who disapprove of the war, how much more will they infiltrate a group of people that not only wants to end the war, but also reduce the power of government over its people? Craig in another thread spelled it out for us. Our government has in the past set up people inside groups in order to make them look bad. The protesters in those instances may not have done anything wrong, but the government shills inside them made sure to use violence to provoke a response. Therefore ALL of those voices were labeled violent and absent of any morality. That way the people rally behind the government to squash any type of voice they deem not fit.

We need to be viligent with our message and expect resistance from the establishment. Liberty will rise again but it will not come at a cheap price. The Rally for the Republic is still in its infancy, time will show many things.

Thanks for the link bamacre. This is what is so disgusting about the Republicans:

"Earlier negotiations to have Mr. Paul address the convention fell through because the congressman would not change his position on the war in Iraq, which he opposes as needless and self-defeating for the United States."

Fall in lockstep with the party or you, a member of congress, are not allowed to speak at the party event.

Fuck the Republicans, I hope they rot. Instead of being the small government party and the alternative to the Democrats, they've sold this country down the river. Fuck 'em.

Ron Paul commented on that on Washington Journal this morning. He said that basically McCains camp wanted Pauls lists and information but offered nothing in return. I guess usually the nominee would bribe the "defeated" candidates quite easily because they're broke.
Paul gave them nothing.
