Hi,

I got a case from Fry's last week which has a front panel blue LCD display showing time of use, and temprature. The temprture is monitored by 3 wires whose sensors are stuck to HD, VGA and CPU areas with a thermal tape.

Now this case starts beeping continuously as the computer is switched on. Sometimes, pressing random buttons on the LCD (it has C/F, reset, set etc. buttons) helps stop the beeping .. and sometimes it doesn't. There is no manual with the case.

Can anybody please help? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

How many times does it beep? So you mean it beeps while you boot it up? In some cases this can be a bad sign. A PC is meant to beep once. If your PC is beeping loads you should check your Motherboard manufacturers manual and have a look under trouble shooting and see what a certain amount of beeps corrisponds to a problem.

I think i am on the rights lines, hope this helps.

his case has a little LCD control/readout that is beeping at him

It probably doesn't like your temps . . . maybe you attached the wrong cable to the wrong thing and it thinks its about to melt down?

Did it come with a manual? It'll probably explain the beep-codes there and tell you what they mean. Worse comes to worse, just cut the wire that goes from the little LCD control to the speaker.

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, LordMorpheus .. the LCD display on the case is the culprit. I found a manual but all it says is that I should press the reset button .. this does not help .. If I remove the power to LCD screen on the case .. the beep is gone .. but then I lose my cool blue LCD display.

Well, detaching the speaker is the last resort .. (though it is a bit tricky to find that internally wired wire)... ANy other suggestions to take care of this issue?

Thanks!
