You linked to a search result set. Search result sets are temporary and that link is now defunct.

Anyhow, it sounds like this could just be handled by reporting the post in question.

It's not just a post. It's a user who's posting thread after thread of useless content, and when he posts within other threads it's usually with responses that most would consider to have troll-like characteristics.

My vote is CutforScience, just thought I'd chip that in, he's been saying he's been looking for a way to come back on another forum.

Yes, I agree that if he is an RBM, most likely CutForScience. Regardless, he posts the creepiest stuff, touching on underage kids even. If there is a standard for bannage, I would hope that is it. Anyway, never liked the idea of "reporting", but this POS is bringing things down, fast.

Thanks for looking into it.

People need to realize that by not replying or reacting to him he would get bored and go away. Like children, they do it for attention. If the attention isn't given, they wander off.
Give them the attention, and they want more and more and do increasingly inane things to get it.

I agree, and it's such a nice theory, yet it almost never works in practice. Somebody always feels compelled to reply to trolls, take whatever bait they throw out and then argue nonsense ad nauseum. And on and on it goes until (hopefully) bannage.

Agreed.

Unfortunately this has not necessarily worked in the past. A good example would be a nameless over-posting (fill in the blank) who likes to start meaningless threads/polls in OT who then proceeds to repay to almost every person who replies to his OP, effectively padding their post count to 17,000 in 11 months.

This user continues to post to this day at a rate of 50 per day. Rakzum should be considered our new troll intern and recommend leaving him alone until be fully matures into a 50-post-per-day troll like a certain member from England.

You need to put a sock in it.

Knock off the callouts of Hal9000. You're wearing my patience thin.

^^ The one you speak of is on my ignore list and the OPs troll is next. Solves the problem for me.

This is your one warning

Do not use this forum and this thread to perpetuate callouts of Hal9000
