Is RakeSearch stable enough of a project during Stress Testing????

Looks like a team founder has to sign us up. I'll look into it tomorrow if @petrusbroder can't tonight.

The project is almost to 1B total points. It is doing ~7M per day because it pays high points. Will this challenge add enough to stress test?

It doesn't seem a likely project for us to get Marathon points, but it is a likely Sprint. So it might be a good way for everyone to get the fast app installed and set up for a Sprint?

You could count me in as I am already trying to get to 5M (in between all the distractions).

It's one of my in-between projects. I'm only aiming for !M though

That's a mess. I can't register with BoincStats because they're using version 1 of ReCaptcha, which shut down a few days ago. :(

My employer blocks their website so I cannot link them, but they also have optimized apps available for download which score significantly higher than the stock app. Since it cuts down on run time, they should stress the server harder as well. Just food for thought.

The optimized apps are hosted on github.

https://github.com/sirzooro/RakeSearch/releases/tag/v1.0

Github is blocked for me at work as well. I've never tried. but I'll bet anything .ru would alert net nanny as well.

Our TeAm still is not registered, and it may be time to start talking about how to use these optimized apps.... ;)

Looks like we just drop the two files into the appropriate folder?

What is the difference between the avx2 and avx2nopext?

1> Yes, the app_info file is included with the app & they are put in the program data > BOINC > Project > rakesearch folder. Or the equivalent for your OS.

2> Found it.
"I found that AVX2 app for AMD can still use other BMI2 instructions, it should not use PEXT/PDEP only. I have created such app and uploaded to GitHub, it has "avx2nopext" in file name. Here are performance results from my Xeon Haswell. I added results for existing AVX and AVX2 apps for comparison. As you can see, new app is a bit faster that AVX. Please check if it is also faster on your machine."

Oh, yeah, I need to see if they've fixed their sign up system yet.

Does anyone happen to have them "hang" on 100% and still running with no time left?

If I could figure out how to post a picture...............I will assume I need something like photohub to do so

They DO eventually "report", these shown, uploaded and were ready to report ~7-8minutes later.

Thanks. It's a seven day event, with late entrants allowed, so even if it's not before the event starts, it is still ok.

Joining my computers to the project and navigating the web page, it feels pretty well stressed already...SLOW.

That is an understatement....................504 Gateway timeout.....................in my case forever to upload AND download............BUT they do run :) when their site works.........

Gateway timeout for me, too.

Code:
16/04/2018 07:05:47 | Rake search of diagonal Latin squares | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
16/04/2018 07:05:47 | Rake search of diagonal Latin squares | Requesting new tasks for CPU
16/04/2018 07:06:03 | Rake search of diagonal Latin squares | Scheduler request failed: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)
16/04/2018 07:06:07 | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
16/04/2018 07:06:08 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

It seems Rakesearch has task limit of 8 tasks per logical core. Any confirmation on this?

Whoops. After running Rakesearch for almost half a day, I remember that we're not registered in the competition yet. Any update on Alyx?
