I think the Celtics should have tried to blow up that team, but it's a hard thing to do I guess.

If they keep everything the way it is now they're in for a long rebuild.

This. Rondo is their best player. The other three are too old, and will continue to hold the Celtics down until they retire or get traded which probably won't happen since Garnett is the 2nd highest paid player in the league, Pierce wants to end his career in Boston, and Ray was a big part in that one title.

"With Rajon, it's a lot of personality conflict," Broussard says in the video above. "He's kind of introverted. He's stubborn, which can be a strength but can also be a weakness. He has trouble taking constructive criticism and he does clash a lot with Doc Rivers. They know he's a great player. They're not going to just give him away. But they feel like they probably can't rebuild around him because of the problems they do have with clashing with his personality." Chris Broussard 3/1/12

Trading Perkins for Green was an epic fail.

I'm surprised Garnett and/or Pierce aren't mentioned on the trading block befored the deadline tomorrow. Rondo must stay tho, he's the only young all star on the team and just requires the right coach, Rivers qualifies. Ray Allen has had an awesome year and isn't someone to give up on either imo.

Garnett and Allen are expiring contracts IIRC. The Bulls should be throwing draft picks and maybe even Asik to the Celtics to try and rent Allen, and maybe even look to re-sign him after the season.

A Bulls team with Allen on the wing makes DRose all kinds of dangerous and gives them a glimmer of hope against the Heat.

Only kink in this possibility is reality. ;) If he goes, Garnett and Pierce are worth nothing. I don't see Celtics entertaining any offers for Allen until this is officially blowed-up and everyone's offered. Not that I don't think it's too early for this, but there haven't even been any rumblings with only 24 hours to go.
