Raising your Concrete

I have a 3 car wide drive for my 3 car garage. The far left section of the driveway where it comes up to the garage has settled down about 2 inches maximum that starts about 4 feet away. I've heard horror stories about companies that raise concrete being either crooks or that after 6 or 12 months, it settles back down. Is this a project that I can do? What is involved? The driveway is about 15 years old and still in very good shape except for this part of it which has dropped. What are the options?

Why not pour fresh concrete over the area to bring up to needed level. Much cheaper than trying to raise existing area.

you end up feathering it out to an unsustainable thickness. That thin stuff breaks off and looks terrible.

Crooks?
Use Angie's list or ask for references.

The good guys drill holes and pump new concrete under it at high pressure.
That won't re-settle.

Yep, slab/mud jacking is what you are looking for. Sidewalks and other very small slabs you can do yourself. But something like a driveway or a patio are up to the pros with the right equipment. They'll come out and drill holes in a couple spots and then use a special pump to inject a grout mixture to lift the slab back up. Then the holes get patched.
