Raising fishes

I had fishes when I was younger and I'm trying to get back into this hobby now that I have my own spot. I just purchased a 20 gallon tank, and I will heading over to the pet store to purchase some fishes in about a week.

How many fishes can I add into a 20 gallon tank. I would ask the ppl there, but they seem so ... stupid.

The general rule was 1" worth of fish per gallon of tank.

So, 1 20" long fish, 2 10" long fish, 10 2" long fish, etc...

Yeah unless they're feed in which case you can get about 15" into a cup 😀

hmmmm ... a friend of mine who's been raising fishes for over 15 years told me 4-6 fishes. damn, for a tank that size i would like to add somewhere around 10. i gotta see how big these fishes are first.
