Raising CPU multiplier does nothing...

cpu in sig, as you can see its at 200fsb (11x200)
i tried raising the multiplier to 12 and then 11.5, but amdcpuid and dxdiag still show the processor running at 2000mhz..whats going on?

Your Barton is probably one of the locked ones. IIRC, AMD started locking them around the last part of 2003. To get unlocked multipliers now, you need a mobile.

The later ones IIRC are irreversibly locked. I doubt you'll get more than the standard 200x11 anyway, though.

are you saying i couldn't get it to 2400mhz with 12x200? i think i could... grr stupid lock
