Raising brightness on a t22 thinkpad

My pops has a t22 thinkpad, he actually said post it on the "atech" website, anyways, he doesnt remember, but he knows there is some kind of function that can be pressed to raise the brightness on the laptop, i havent seen it, so i dont know how dark it is, or if it is a more serious problem. Any help?thanks.

brightness adjustment is embedded in the function keys. I think it is function+F12 or something.

It's actually the Fn (function key) plus the Home and End key to bump up and down.
