So I picked up an old Schwinn bike I found on Craigslist yesterday, rode it around for a bit and it was fine except I need to raise the seat 3-4 inches--and I mistakenly assumed that it worked like every other bike I'd ever seen in my life that I could just take a wrench, undo the screw--and pull up on a bar and tighten up the screw again.

However no such bar exists so I'm out of luck in making it a comfortable ride. Do addons exist that I could basically bolt on there to give the bike a few more inches?

Hmmm...if only it had no handle bars....

Then you can ride your bike with no handle bars;)

Never heard of a bike seat that didn't adjust, sure it isn't someones cobble job? (er, custom fix)

Cool Beans.

I commend you for at least giving us closure on this thread.

Hope you could drill the bolt out and just replace it.

Cheers!

Try and let it soak in Liquid wrench overnight.
