Got a chance to try a nice shower at a hotel with one in it, along with multiple jets. I gotta say I don't see what all the fuss is about. The other jets were nice but I like the regular showerheads over rainfall

With the hotel is paying for the hot water, I'd give it a whirl. If it's on me to pay for, nope. I have a 16 yo.

Tell us about the massaging fingers bed.

The overhead ones work better if you regularly have more than occupant in the shower at a time. When one person is using the primary shower the other still stays warm from the overhead.

Nothing wrong with them and if given one I'd accept however IMO they are just not enough better then a quality standard shower. Also the point about major hot-water usage is valid I like to take 30 minute showers.

I recently got one from aldi. Not a big fan tbh. I prefer being blasted with a smaller stream of water than a generalized soaking. I don't dislike it enough to replace it, but if I ever buy a new head, it'll be a standard. Seems to use a bit less water than my old one, but it's hard to tell.

I'm not a fan of rainfall heads by themselves. I want the hot water hitting neck-down, which is harder when the water pours straight down above your head.

We have a low flow regular showerhead and it drives me nuts that it doesn't pelt me so I can get clean faster. No thanks to the rainfall that would barely tickle.

Psst, plenty of videos on Youtube that will show you how to turn your showerhead back into a regular flow/non-shitty. It's actually rather simple but you might catch shit from some people here.

A drill and drill bit might fix that problem...just sayin...

Rainfall showerheads are OK, but not for me. I used to scoff at the handhelds...until I got one...and modified the low-flow out of it. Now, I HATE fixed showerheads...hand-helds are SO much better for rinsing the nether regions.

My wife seems fine with it. I just go shower in my downstairs office bath instead. I also have my toothbrush in there. It's like we don't even live together haha.

Same. The kid and I use the small bathroom. You can't see her 8' counter.

I'm kind of a bum-pleb and don't think I know what a rainfall showerhead is. I'm used to the "normal" ones or whatever. I don't think I've experienced the greatness (or lack thereof) of the rainfall ones.

This. I like the small, simple-looking $5 Ace Hardware elephant blaster shower heads. I need super pressure.

Is it a detachable/handheld showerhead?

Just strip naked and go outside the next time it rains. Pretty much the same thing

Haha. I did a search on Amazon, yeah, I've seen them in commericals before now that I looked it up. They look cool, I guess, although it seems there wouldn't be much pressure with them. I could be wrong though, never used one. I wonder if a rainfall shower head like this would just screw into what I have in my apartment (not home at the moment)?

Why choose?
Had my bathroom redone last year and went all out adding top rainfall, jets blasting from the walls, and handheld. Some days I'd have all three blasting away the grimes. You only live once.
