Anyone play this online for pc? was thinking about getting this or Battlefield 2 collection.

Except that the multiplayer on the PC didn't even function when it was released. I think that's been remedied but I'm not sure. I never thought I'd say this... but I think BF2 may be more stable for multiplayer gaming (GASP!)

The 360 version is good but the PC version is poorly coded and has poor performance unless you're running a high-end system; with your 8800GTS you'll be fine.

Vegas was a lot of fun, but framerate wasn't that great, and you have to use an ugly widescreen hack to get it playing on a WS monitor. Apart from that though I thought it was a lot of fun, MP is alright. I only played MP about twice, and I didn't find it a lot of fun, I guess that could be because i'm pretty used to BF and unreal/quake style MP though.

just to clarify, the game plays on widescreen monitors just fine, you just need to use the hack to play with a widescreen resolution.

It is likely (but not certain) that support for Vegas has ended, the game has great single player, but multilayer is pretty much non-existent (no one plays, at peak times there is maybe 30 people on.)

Go check the Vegas PC forums you will see lots of frustration towards this game.

I hadn't played a Rainbox Six game since the very first so it was a little different than I recalled ... it's more of a Splinter Cell - Rainbox Six mix but I'm really enjoying it. It's pretty neat.

The singleplayer component was pretty meh for me. Even worse, the multiplayer was practically impossible to use. The browser is absolute crap (browse 1 game at a time, wtf?), it was way too hard to connect too. Think I got through once on about 20 tries, then some sob kicked me for no reason shortly after joining. That was the end of that.

The PC online is very fun.
