Rainbow Six: Siege

I'm guessing it will in no way live up to the originals, but it is looking a hell of a lot better than what typically passes as a tactical shooter these days. First I've heard of it though, so will have to do some more research about it.

Shoot any wall and it crumbles? Also some of the players look like they missed too much. I think a real game would have a quicker death rate.

Whatever.

Physics/destructible environment looks interesting. Loved Crysis and the Red Faction concept.

That gameplay video looks scripted and/or played using console controllers, but even I could aim better with a controller. A "real" match would end in 5 seconds.

That's why I think PvE will be better because you will be able to experiment with tactics and different strategies. In PvP I see a lot of matches ending before anyone gets a chance to use the environment or drone gadgets.

My guess is that PvP will devolve into Counterstrike and team deathmatch (e.g. Call of Duty) games: run and gun + twitch shooting. I can't stand that anymore, and I'm old now so I can't keep up with the kiddies in games where you can die in one shot.
