Yeah I know it's yesterday's news, but nobody has posted it yet, so here's the download link.

I'm going to compare the demo to RvS, so here's the good and the bad:

Good:
- Framerate is just about as fast as RvS
- Easy to guide teammates (SP)
- Faster cone of fire
- MP host can remove reticle, forcing you to aim thru the sight. More realistic.
- Sniper rifle actually shakes when aiming thru the scope
- Olympian run speed (good?)
- More ways to take down doors
- Grenade toss is a separate button (very good)
- Night vision is actually useful, if not cheap
- Can enable respawns in MP, for the noobs
- Tangos actually hesistate before firing
- Tangos do not have point-blank-like aim at long distance
- Cannot move while leaning (seemed silly in RvS)
- Mission is divided into sections, so you can continue part way through.

Bad:
- Clunky MP menu: Does not start at server refresh list and does not save filter settings
- AI is still as dumb as rocks, and now with spawning scripts.
- AI is much more predictable. No more unexpected patrols. They will always be in the same spots every time.
- Too many tangos. Feels like Serious Sam.
- Game seems way too easy on Challenge
- No prone (very bad)
- Ammo is pooled, rather than counting rounds in each mag. Too easy. (very bad)
- Handgun has unlimited ammo. Still have to reload though.
- Maps feel very consoley. Maps are very linear and small, unlike the highly complex maps of RvS and its PC predecessors. (very bad)
- That damn grenade launcher. Get ready to respawn a lot, especially when you fire into invisible walls.
- Cannot join or spectate MP games that are currently playing. Have to wait for them to go back to the lobby. (very very bad)
- Players have too many hit points. Even enemies can take a couple bullets before falling down.
- Shotgun absolutely sucks
- Grenade tossing is kinda slow. Turns you into a sitting duck when you want to throw far.
- Loadout screen isn't really much better or worse

Overall I think the bad outweighs the good. Like Serious Sam 2, the devs have gone the way of consoles. I really had high hopes for this game, but with the oversimplified gameplay, it's become more of an arcade shooter rather than a realistic tactical squad game. I really hope the devs pull off a miracle for this game, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I downloaded from yahoo at a steady 630kb/ps with DAP. The games graphics amazed me actually, if set to full it easliy competes with some of todays best games, if not better than alot of them. If you shoot walls and concrete chunks also fly off like in fear and looks more realistic than fear. I admit the AI is pretty dumb at normal but if set to hardest difficulty its kind of a challenge, meh who knows it will probably be better in the final version. Its a pretty fun swat type game(more fun than swat games imo). It might be worth it to check it out onced released, although i think this would make a superb console shooter, say on....x360?

Thanks for the mini review. I loved R6:3 and Ghost Recon, so I'll try this out.

Yah the mp is extremely buggy i think i got into 1 game and played for like 5 min before i lost connection. I didnt notice earlier because i just played sp, theyre gonna have to fix the server menu's like quake 4 did or else im not buying....i still say it would be better on console.

I though nobody really like Rainbow series very much. I owned Rainbow Raven Sheild and I played few times no fun.
