Rainbow Six hanging

I appologize in advance if this is posted in the wrong forum, i wasnt sure if i should post it in tech support or gaming, so admins feel free to change it if you see fit.

When playing Rainbow six raven shield, my computer seems to hang when going into or out of the game. Not like the game itself, but after youve picked your team equipment and your plan, and you hit ok to go into first person mode of the game itself. This problem doesnt happen all the time, but id say 75%. Also, it seems that it usually hangs on either going into or coming out of the game, but doesnt happen on both ends at once...

I had some extra PCI cards installed on my computer, and I thought that might have an effect, because i do remember rainbow six working before, but no luck, still hangs.

I can still get into the game or out of after a hang, as long as i hit control alt delete once or twice so the task manager comes up (minimizing rainbow six), and then go back into the game. Alt tabbing or hitting the windows key doesnt minimize it. As soon as i go back into the game its fine.

Radeon 9800 pro (sapphire)

Logitech keyboard and mouse
WinXP pro with SP1

This really sounds like a driver issue to me. I vaguely recall this happening before updating my drivers in this game.
