This rain in the West around the rockies is a very huge front. It looked like it would rain from Boise to Arizona. I was looking at this front which is really huge and in the middle it is all red and represents 2" of rainfall.

So when I saw the map I thought the Rainfall was unnatural. It is like someone prayed for rain and they got it and more. I couldnt help thinking this is a miracle. Anyway this is my personal thoughts.

So the National Weather Service has a tap on the supernatural prayer channel sufficient to be able to predict the appearance of miraculous precipitation events?

Dont doubt the power of prayer. Call it an anwer from heaven or channelled mass hysteria if you wish. It should not be totally miscounted. In the past prayers have been anwered. I am reminded of the Monument in Salt Lake dedicated to the miracle of the sea gulls. I am also reminded to an event that occurred during the Civil War when a Spring magically appeared in the middle of a prisoner of war camp. These two events are recorded historical events.

umm k, what about all those who prayed for sunshine?

I don't know if you have noticed, but rain happens quite regularly. There has also been a dramatic change in both Weather patterns and intensity of weather in the last decade or so.

It's nice that you think this all seems to be some kind of divine intervention, but I think this shows the weakness regarding Answered Prayer claims in general. This appears to be an Appeal to Incredulity, you seem to think this is impossible, or beyond your ability to imagine.

I'm sorry, but this is a weak ass assertion on your part.

Not sure if serious, but I assure you that people who went through the Dust Bowl were praying constantly for the drought to end.

It didn't get them much except dust pneumonia.

I think you'll find Rain is from the Ocean. Now what are you babbling on about?

... seriously? Unnatural? Miracle? As if it never rained before, with 2" cells in the middle... o_O You act as if you've never seen a high pressure build over the center of the country, thereby forcing a band of rain up across the Rockies.

I assure you, that particular feature has been repeating throughout your life time, frequently.

No, we got two inches of rain in highly localized pockets in less than two hours which is unheard of in this area. On top of that we are in the middle of a huge drought. My place of work got dumped on with flooded streets. Three miles away had seen hardly any rain. The intensity and short duration is what set this particular storm apart.

edit: on of the ladies in the video said she had seen that underpass flood about 5 - 6 times in 60 years, but this was the worst. The Mayor stated that we see storms on this scale once every 15 - 20 years, but that this one is one of the worst. Just a small part of a major freak event across the rockies. Btw, I see this in no way being related to a higher power as the op seems to suggest, but rather climate change which predicts more extreme weather events.

I think praying has a time turnaround.
It was flooding and they prayed for blue skies.
Finally the rain stopped, and stopped, and stopped.
Now the fires cometh and the prayers for rain begin.
And rain will come, next spring.
Could be prayer is still along the lines of snail mail?
You should be praying, then just hit enter.
Shoot up an prayer email instead.
Anyone have the email address?
