Rail Guns...?

I once heard someone talking about making a mini version of a rail gun. They explained how to make it and the design, as I recall, was based on magnets and a ruler. Has anyone heard of this before? If so, could you explain the steps and instructions behind the idea? Don't worry, I'm not into killin' people, I'd just like a chance to work with this kind of technology. It interests me. Thanks for your assistance in locating that article! BTW- I have a 1.0 GHz AMD Duron. How far can I safely overclock it without buying a new fan or heatsink, and how would I go about doing that? Thanks again!
