Ok I recently just started this thread on another forum and no one has replied yet, but in the meantime maybe you all can help...
Ok This is what I posted on that forum:
Ok, I used the latest Samsung magician software(4.9.5) and used the advanced performance optimizations, Did all 4 ssds, tested the speed with crystalmark individually, speed is solid on all 4 drives, read and write is above 500mb/s.
Have 4 EVO 840 pro SSD's in raid0(I know its overkill)...
However, Soon as I move into raid0, My speed on read went from 1700MB/s to 800+MB/s and my Write performance - 1300+MB/s to 600+MB/s.
I am going to use another raid driver within the package I normally use, usually It don't matter which I pick as they offer the same performance, but going to try something different and will come back and give heads up.
Has this ever happen before? Not that I am aware of.
Chipset drivers??
UPDATE:
I also re-installed the v. 2101 motherboard firmware to see if anything would change, and nope, nothing.
Thanks.
UPDATE:
Ok, Just got a reply on one of the forums I usually go to, he said that I might need an OROM firmware update which regulates the RAID.
Also for everyone's info, I am using rst version:
intel_rst_14.8.1.1043
