RAID0 stripes and HD buffer sizes - any correlation to performance?

Assuming the same RAID0 setup (software or hardware configuration) is there a noticeable diff in performance using drives with a 2mb buffer as opposed to an 8mb buffer?

I am really thinking about getting a hardware RAID card (3Ware 7500) but I only have one 8mb buffer drive. But I have a bunch of 2mb drives lying around.

Is there that much of a diff b/t the two buffer sizes when using RAID?

The kind of usage patterns that benefit from RAID generally don't also benefit from a larger cache.
