RAID0 formation with same speed hard drives but different capacity?

I owned a 74GB WD Raptor and recently bought a WD Raptor 150GB, and they both are 10,000 rpm. Now i am thinking of switching to RAID 0 formation. Is that possible? Would 76GB of my new drive get wasted if I use 74GB from both drives? or would the operating system consider that as single drive when i am running out of space?

And does running RAID0 mean that i install the operating system from scratch? can't the operating system defrag or something! If i have to start from scratch then i might as well move to Vista. Thanks.

You won't be able to use capacity beyond the size of the smallest drive. You should see if you can set up a JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks).
