A few questions. How much faster is two drives in RAID 0 then a single SATA drive? And how much faster is three drives in RAID 0? My box is mostly for gaming and web browsing. Just curious how much more speed I can get. Will I notice a difference? Also, what about a 10k Raptor drive? How much faster will that be compared to two SATA's in RAID 0? How about three?

for gaming and browsing a raptor will make more of a difference then raid but neither will be that big (raptor will help in opening programs and loading levels). Raid benefits when you are moving large files (it will make installing games faster, but would be bigger if you did a lot of video editing). Raid 0 with 3 drives is really dangerous (high failure rate), raid 5 with 3 drives is not bad (but most motherboards dont do raid 5 well and a good card is a couple of hundred). If you are looking for gaming upgrades adding a second 7900gt or selling the gt and getting an 8800gts (320 even) would be beneficial, raid or a raptor not so much.

Would I notice a difference in everyday tasking with two drives in RAID 0 over my single SATA?

Edit: Also, is it possible to setup a RAID 0 with two drives and keep the OS that is installed on one of them?
