Overview of the problem
Hello all,
looking for some assistance with an OS upgrade I am attempting to do and i think i'm getting errors due to my RAID array (probably needing new drivers is my assumption, but i'm a novice when it comes to RAID arrays and messing with them)
Full description of the problem and symptoms
My PC is currently running WIndows XP and has its hard drives setup in a RAID 0 array ; I want to upgrade the OS to Windows Vista Ultimate (in preparation for an upgrade to Windows 7) : After setup finishes copying files and reboots, it starts to go into Windows Setup and then blue screens with the following error:
"STOP C0000221 Unknown Hard Error \Systemroot\System32\ntdll.dll"
I've checked into this error online and have seen a variety of answers ranging from change the UDMA setting on your drives to run /sfc and repair corrupted DLLS (which i have done) but it still throws this error when i try to let setup resume.
I can boot back into my previous OS (Windows XP) and there are no issues, so as mentioned above, my assumption is that i need to update RAID drivers for the new OS

Does my assumption seem correct? (and if so, I'm totally unfamiliar with how to update RAID drivers/would love any guidelines on how to do that so i don't hose this machine ; I *do* have it backed up, but would really rather not have to restore it after screwing it up
)
