Currently I have a 640gb blue as my os, 2x1tb black as my secondaries and my 2tb green just came. Im thinking of moving my videos to my videos to my 2tb but I'm afraid of it crashing and would like to keep them on my blacks and raid 1 them but ot seeks pointless due to their performance, I'm thinking of maybe buying another 2tb and raid 1 them. or add an ssd as my primary and put the videos on my blue and clone a copy on my green ? What do you guys think?

By talking about all the colors, I assume you are talking about Western Digital. If true, Google TLER and RAID together. I seem to have gotten around the TLER problem by using ICH10R for my array, and assigning a small section of each of my WD 1TB (4 drives) to RAID 0, and assigning the remainder of the space to RAID 10. With this setup, I now experience none of the problems associated with the inability to use TLER- about 6 months now. I wrote more in this forum section in a thread titled "Caviar Blacks in RAID without TLER OK". Sorry, but I can't link to it, as I have no editing tools.

If I recall correctly the green drives are not supported by WD for RAID setups I think it is mainly to do with how the drives manage their own power but I am not completely sure. The black series should work in a RAID setup but I don't believe that they are supported by WD and then I think the RE3 series drives are actually supported by WD in RAID setups.
