RAID spamming the PCI bus & sound card issues related?

When I am using my 2 80GB raid 0 drives on a single cable, I don't get any PCI soundcard issues. When I give them their own channel (one on the IDE0 the other on IDE1 so they have a full channel to themselves), the sound hisses and cuts out on my audigy, I'm thinking this is because the PCI bus is getting overwhelmed, thoughts? It seemds kind of weird considering the RAID controller I'm using is ATA133.

You might try changing your PCI latency count in your BIOS. I found that a setting of 64 works best for my computing needs.
