Hi,

I'm tryna get a server setup.

I managed to get some extremely affordable SCSI drives: 6 x Cheetah ST173404LCV 73.4GB 10000rpm U160 80pin

The problem is the RAID card I plan to use them with is 68 pin.

I know on my home server i have one converter on the hard drive.

However, because i have so many drives this time for the RAID setup I was hoping I could use a converter on the actual RAID card. This would allow me to use a 80pin cable on the drives, and only need 1 converter on the RAID.

Is this possible?

Alternatively could someone suggest a 80 U160 RAID card?

Cheers!

Wups, just found out 80 pin cables don't exist!

These drives are for drive caddy bays for the server.

Makes my life a lot easier! :D
