Raid question

If I have two 40 gig hard drives, and one is split into 30 gigs and 10 gigs, and the other is not split, can I raid them?

Sure, as long as you kill your partitions...

You'll need to repartition once your array is initialized. (Basically, that means that you should go ahead and back up what you need to, kill your paritions, then initialize your array. After all that, you can partition to your heart's content).

<< Its recomended to have the same model drives so Raid can be optimized, but its not necessary. >>

Remember that it will size each drive to the lowest common denominator, so if you had 1 drive that was 10 gigs, and 1 that was 40, your array would be 20 gigs
