Hey Guys I have 2 * 80 gb seagate sata drives and i want to setup sata raid, is it wise to setup raid on both 80 gb or can i partition both drives say 30 gb each. thanks

Yes, you can partition drives in a RAID array.

Keep in mind that those two drives in;

RAID 0 = 160 GB

RAID 1 = 80 GB

RAID1 or 0?

If you're thinking of using RAID0 click the "Storage" tab at the top of the page and read the Raptors in RAID article first. It inlcudes benchmarks for non-Raptor RAID as well.
