RAID Question

Well, I hope everybody had a happy turkey day. I was wondering if anybody knows a good stripe size for an IDE RAID setup. I have two Maxtor DM 9's @ 120 GB. I will be using the RAID built into the NF3 chipset. I am thinking about using 32k, but wondered if any of you found a size that works significantly better. Also, what is a good program to test speed? I do not like Sandra's hard drive benchmark.

Here is a thread on MSI forums about the topic:

HD Tach and HD Speed are two free programs for testing. Getting fast performance just to please the testing programs is questionable in my opinion as it may not reflect your actual usage patterns - and may not be all that accurate anyway. I think 32K is probably a good choice to handle small files and larger graphic/database files.

Thanks for the link. Sometimes the seat-of-the pants isn't the easiest way to tell how fast your hard drive is, so I like to use programs like HD Tach to test it out.
