Raid question

just starting to look in to raid set up, but have a question . If I set up a raid arry on my to raid ports I'm still able to use my 2 other IDE ports for O/S hd and burner? Can anyone point me to some good info on raid arrys

I assume you are talking about a motherboard with onboad Raid that has 4 IDE ports (two available for raid and two for 'regular' IDE drives).

the answer is yes, you still have the regular IDE channels available while you are running a raid array on the other two ports.
