Hi,

I currently have a Maxtor 740(sumthin') 60 GB disk running under Windows 2000 (NTFS). I plan to add a second identical drive and want to run those two in RAID-0 (or if it's not 0 it's a least that mode that makes it look like one big 120 GB disk).

My question is: will I be able to do this without having to reformat the first disk and reinstall W2K? That would be really nice since otherwise I'll have to back-up 49 GB of files :(.

All input is very much appreciated!

Regards,

you'll need another drive and a RAID card. (you know that right?)

and yes, you will have to format and reinstall.

Thanks!

Yes, I was aware of that, but since I'll have to reinstall anyway, I might as well go ahead and buy me one of those nice and shining mobo's with a raid controller built-in. Preferably one from Abit, the k7ra-raid (or something).
