So I've installed this, after flashing my Radeon LE to Radeon DDR (32 MB).
The overclocker recognizes the card as 164 MHz. I cranked it to 200 MHz and did some benches using 3DMark2000. After several reruns, it crashed, so now I'm running 191 MHz.
Changing the Memory Latency to Fast totally screwed up the card, so I'm back now on Medium. I was too chicken to play with the Memory Timings.
Does anyone know what are the optimal settings for memory? I am assuming that memory and GPU speeds should be kept synchronized right?
Also, I can't seem to get past the SUV race at any speed in 3DMark2001 (and that's why I was benching on 3DMark2000). Anyone else have this problem? I'm using the Jan drivers. I'll try setting Raid on Tweaker's Profile to 3DMark2001 and see what happens.
EDIT:
I ran the 3DMark2001 Profile, and now it runs all the way through. This thing runs like molasses on some of those later tests. Anyways, with my Celeron 880, I'm getting a score of 2340 with the Radeon at 191 MHz. Not terribly impressive, but I guess it means when the Pentium III 1 GHz (100 MHz FSB) becomes cheap I may just have to buy one.
