I am using the DFI LANPARTY UT nVidia nForce3 250Gb motherboard with two 200 GB western digital hard drives in mirrored raid. Everything was fine (running withoug problems for 3 weeks) until I ran Norton 2004's speed disk (defragmenter) on drive C: (both drives). After defragmenting and rebooting the RAID status has changed from "heathy" to "degraded". The computer now is EXTREMELY slow. Windows also now sees two seperate drives. What can I do to fix this? Will I have to select the "rebuild" option in the RAID menu to correct this? If so, which drive do I select to rebuild? Also, in the future, how do I defragment the drive(s) so don't encounter this problem? Should I only use Windows disk defragmenter and not Symentec's speed disk? Symantec noted that speed disk should have treated both drives as one since it's the newest version. Please help.
