RAID-Like Software, Access Drive from Second PC?

I'm thinking about buying a RAID card and using that instead of my onboard RAID, so that if my mobo dies - I can still access my data, without buying another of the same mobo.

However, I don't have many slots to spare. I have a regular PCI slot, but the transfer rate would be sad.

Is there any software/freeware that would continually copy whatever is on drive E and put it on drive F, and still work if I take out drive F and put it in a second PC?

Thanks.

I think it's obligatory at this point to mention that RAID IS NOT A BACKUP SOLUTION.

RAID is a performance and load-balancing tool, if you're worried about losing data you need a separate solution designed for backing up data. As a side note, if your addon raid card dies you're just as hosed as if your motherboard dies, you typically need to replace it with the exact same piece of hardware or your data is kaput.
