OK the more and more I read into RAID-5 Systems, the more and more I am confused.
First is S-ATA drives worth the extra $$$ for a home server, or should I stick with P-ATA drives for now?
Second Depending on what the first questions. Are there any decent RAID-5 Cards for Cheap? I notice the Highpoint offers a RAID-5 Card for $100, but have heard bad reviews about the card spiking the CPU. There is also a 3ware card for $250 witch offers onboard processing. Anyone have any experience with either of these products? Have any more cards that you would recommend? Also because I am planning to build this from a spare system that only has 32-bit PCI slots, will the 3ware be totally out of the question?
-TIA-
