RAID help with MSI Turbo

I have a MSI Turbo-R w/266mhz 1.2ghz athlon. I have two identical hard drives, both ata/100 IBM, and I am trying to hook them up to raid 3/4 as masters. For some reason, the Promise Bios won't appear, so I can't set up an array with the two hard drives. one of the ibm's has stuff on it, but I am going to to erase it anyways. Anyways, the array is for striping (performance). I really want to get this hooked up soon (got the Athlon a few hours ago), so can anyone help me 😕 ???

Do a search. I'm not sure what it'll be under though. There's an issue with some MSI BIOS's and certain video cards.

It has to do with the USB settings in the BIOS itself, I believe that USB mouse and keyboard must be disabled. There may be a nother tick to set as well, I forget.

Flashing to the 016 beta BIOS from their website did it for me, but it's not mandatory. Even with the new BIOS, certain settings trip it as well. (Making the Promise screen disappear).

Again, do a search. It's in here somewhere (Motherboard forum within the last 2 weeks or so - a long post describing what to do).

Happy searching!
