the board has raid....what do i need to run raid on it? do i just get 2 hdds that are the same and plug them in?
 
Well, first you have to decide what level of RAID you want to run. I'm not too familiar with that mobo, but I'm guessing that it has RAID 0 and maybe RAID 1 capability. Once you connect the drives, then you'll have to go into the RAID setup and set some parameters.....RAID level, stripe size (for RAID 0), etc. Then you can use the array as you would with any hard drive. Of course with RAID, it is always desirable to run identical drives.
